Football Week 4

Farmington Cardinals (1-1-1) vs. Gentry Pioneers (1-2)

VS.

Farmington got their first win last week and it was a big one, shutting out Marshall 46-0. Gentry suffered their second loss of the season against Siloam and are traveling to Farmington to play their third away game. Friday's match-up signals the start of 1-4A conference play for both teams and will set the tone for the rest of the season. Farmington is also celebrating Homecoming so there should be some extra excitement (or distraction) in the air tonight.

Arkansas Razorbacks (1-1) vs. #3 Alabama Crimsome Tide (3-0)

VS.

In Arkansas' lost last week, we saw a glimmer of a substantial offense, our defense however was severly lacking. Alabama, the third-ranked team in the country, is on a 3-0 winning streak and is sure to be a tough host when Arkansas travels to Tuscaloosa. Alabama's defense will prove tough for Mallat and his offense.

Yoga

I have found a new obsession - YOGA! Ryan's cousin Sherri asked me a couple of weeks ago to come to her Yoga class that she was teaching at a new gym in Fayetteville. I said sure why not, I'll try it.

I was really nervous about it. If you didn't know already, I might be one of the world's least flexible women ever. So I went to the class and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be but it was still a GREAT work out. I was sweating like crazy. The class is actually a combination of yoga, tai chi and pilates. The best part of the whole workout was the meditation time at the end. Sherri puts you in a complete relaxation and meditative state and it is a great way to end the day.

The gym where I take yoga and recently joined is called Clubhaus. It is a great atmosphere, located on Dickson Street and is LEED certified.

Surprisingly I am actually looking forward to "working out"/yoga tomorrow night.

Football Week 3

Farmington Cardinals (0-1-1) vs. Marshall Bobcats (0-2)

vs.

Going into week 3, the Cardinals are still looking for their first win. Farmington had it rough last week and was only able to end in a tie against Ozark. Marshall is also looking for its first win. Last week, they lost to Berryville. Both teams are desparate to get a W before heading into conference play.

Arkansas Razorbacks (1-0) vs. Georgia Bulldogs (1-1, 1-0 SEC)

vs.

Wooooo Pig Sooie!!! The first home Hog game is upon us which means tailgating, calling the Hogs and 72,000 screaming fans. This week, the Hogs open up conference play by taking on the Georgia Bulldogs. The Dogs are coming off a win over South Carolina last Saturday and the Hogs are anxious to get back on the playing field after an off week. I predict the match-up will be a high scoring game as a result of weak defenses on both sides. Georgia is sure to be tired after a 4 hour game only 6 days ago while the Hogs should be entergized and ready to prove to their fans they are the team to beat in the SEC.

Cousin Time

Saturday night Tracey and Mark were in town to celebrate Beth's birthday so I met up with all the cousins: Mark, Tracey, Matt, Beth, Jerry and Amy and we had a blast! Let's just say there were Woo Woos involved :) I didn't take my camera but got a few shots with my BlackBerry. Me and my cousin "Little" Jerry. Can't you see the resemblance :) It's the Smith blood in us.

This picture is absolutely terrible of both of us but it's so bad that it is funny. We were laughing. Love you Amy!

Score Update

Well Farmington didn't win but they didn't lose either. The game ended in a tie 7-7. The only good thing to say about the game is that we didn't "techinally" lose and these precious faces came to cheer on the Cards! They took my mind off the ugliness on the field. Anniston and Treyson are great Farmington Cheerleaders :)
