MCG wins 4 Addys!

This past weekend some of the Mitchell Communications Group peeps attended the Northwest Arkansas Advertising Federation Award ceremony. It was our first time to even enter. We had 6 entries and won 4! Pretty good for first timers who aren't even solely an ad agency! We got 1 silver for an ad campaign for Southwestern Energy and a silver for a Southwestern Energy brochure, a gold for a Walmart Grand Opening recycleable invitation and a gold for the ACT 35 brochure. Way to go MCG!!!

The Sleepwalking Dog

This is the funniest thing I have seen in a while. Watch all the way til the end. Don't worry, no dog was hurt during the filming of this video.

I love Cupcakes. Cupcakes are my Favorite

I love to bake. I like baking more than I like cooking. I love to bake cookies and I especially love to bake cupcakes. They are personal little pieces of sweetness. I think i like to bake them so much because you can decorate them. I usually make cupcakes for holidays and decorate them with coordinating colors of that holiday. One of my favorite cupcake memories was last April. All of us girls were in Dallas for Kelsey's bachelorette party. One of the days we were down there, Kelsey took us to taste the BEST cupcakes in the world: Sprinkles Cupcakes. These cupcakes are huge! They sell certain flavors on certain days. These cupcakes are twice as large as normal ones and they are DELICIOUS! My cupcake entry was triggered when my mom sent me a cupcake blog today. Its a blog dedicated soley to the art of cupcakes! If you love cupcakes as much as I do check out this blog www.cupcakestakethecake.blogspot.com

Purple Flowers

Yesterday Ryan came by to "see our office" and he brought me an early Valentine's Day present. Because purple is my favorite color, he had an arrangement made of only purple flowers. It is in a cute squatty vase that is perfect for my desk tied with a purple ribbon. They are beautiful!

I love my Baby Brothers

Ok so they aren't really babies but they are my little brothers and I love them a TON so I thought I would tell you about them. JD is 21 and a junior at Harding University. He is going to study abroad this summer in Greece and is probably one of the goofiest people I know. He can solve a Rubix cube in less than 2 minutes and is very out going. He has a very strong connection with any senior citizen he meets and wants to be a physical therapist. Spencer is completely opposite of JD. Spencer will turn 21 in April and is more reserved. He hoards all his money and works very hard for that money. He is a GA coach at Farmington high school and wants to be a high school football coach after he graduates. He loves spicy food and anything camo. He is a self proclaim classy redneck.
Both of my brothers are classy gentlemen who are very loving and caring. I love both of them very much and would do anything for them.

Mmm mmm.. NOODLES

After church on Sunday Ryan asked me what I wanted to eat for lunch. I said Italian. Ryan said great, let's eat at a local italian resturant. When we eat out Ryan likes to eat at local places. He says they have way better food and we are supporting our local economy. I tend to agree with him. So after he said local, I knew exactly where I wanted to go: Noodles Italian Kitchen. See I like to think I have a special bond with Noodles. My very dear friend Kelsey's family owns and operates that wonderful restaurant. When we got there we sat down and I told Ryan I was so excited because I hadn't been to eat there in forever. Infact I think the last time I was there was for Kelsey and Mat's party after their rehersal dinner! I know! I know! Almost a year. Please forgive me Walkers! I will never be absent for so long again. That place also brings back many memories for me:
  • Jr. High and High School Pom/Cheer dinners
  • DDD Senior Night with Mom Ellen
  • Emily's Surprise Bday dinner
  • And the many, many nights spent there with my best friends in college....including Kelsey who always suggested the best things to try.

Noodles has the best Italian food in town. My favorites include:

  • Jalapeno Lime Chicken
  • Toasted Raviolli
  • Mushroom & Chicken Raviolli and
  • Greek Salad

Anyway..if you have never tried it, you must go to Noodles THIS WEEK! Here is a listing of their full menu: http://noodlesitaliankitchen.com/

We almost Won!

Last night Ryan and I went to Razorback game with Aunt Laura and Uncle Randy. They had two extra seats in the box where they were sitting. A box is the way to go at those games. Your own secluded area and bathroom! We had a lot of fun. Thanks for the invite guys!
We lost the game but it came down to the final 5 seconds. That's ok Hogs. We still love you!

Ice Pics

Here are two pictures of the tree right out side our apartment during the big Ice Storm. Pic #1 is the first day of the storm and pic #2 is the second day. That is what all the trees looked like in Fayetteville. There is also a pic of Emily, Mary and me the first night of the storm. We still had power then, eating pizza and watching the Bachelor in our sweats.

Let there be light!!!

Quick update. I finally got power last night! It was 6 long days without it but I found out yesterday at work that it was back on. A girl who works in our building for a different company lives in the apartment above us. She went home at lunch and then called up to our office to give me the good news. I spent all night cleaning and "decontaminating" my apartment but it still stinks. I'm sure its the refrigerator to blame so tonight I guess I will decontaminate that too. Our cable was even back on so I got to watch Bachelor while I cleaned. Let me just ask: When is DeAnna coming back?!?!? It's killing me!
