I'm Moving!

It's official. I signed my vacancy notice last night and was told I have to by out by April 28th. So I'm moving. God was watching out for me and it's by His good grace I have a house to move to. Here is the story:

I actually started looking for places to rent in February and everything I could find was either too expensive or just plain sketch. I was getting pretty discouraged. Though through that process I found a new obsession: CraigsList. Really you should go explore it sometime. Anyway, A girl my mom works with was selling some bed room furniture for pretty cheap so my mom told me I should go look at it because she knew I was going to need another set for an extra room (assuming I found someplace to move into that had an extra room). She told me that the girl (Meredith - coincidence) was actually moving out of the house she was living in at the end of March and I should look at it. The house is owned by my mom's friend Laura - another coincidence. I told her i would look at it but I wasn't getting my hopes up. Well I went to look at the furniture and the house and loved both! And the best part: I could afford BOTH!

The house was built in the 1930's and one of the things I love most about it is that it reminds me a lot of the house my Meime lived in before she died. So much so that it even has a big magnolia tree in the yard just like her house did. I can still smell the fragrance of the magnolia flowers in her house.

The house is stone on the outside and has a front porch swing. It has two bedrooms with one bath, perfect for me. It is also set up off the road about 100 yards and no neighbors on either side for about 100 yards. The house has a fence around the entire property so I can get a dog I have been wanting. It has a lot of character and I can't wait to move it.

So since I have to be out of my apartment sooner than I thought, I will be moving the last Saturday in April which just happens to be my birthday too. Happy birthday to me right? Ha anyway....once I move in I will post pics of my cute little quaint home. Oh and PS if you want to help me move, I'm sure i can find something for you to do :)

St. Patty's Day

Mary, Emily and I continued the tradition of celebrating St. Patrick's Day. We wore our green and had our green beer. Here are a few pics from the night.

I won a Wii!!

Yep you read that right. I won a Wii! The husband of a girl I work with just started a new website with a couple of partners. The website is called Local540. It is an online directory for businesses in Northwest Arkansas. It really is pretty cool. It lists all the business and their hours of operation. Well the guys are trying to promote the website so they decided to hold a contest. All you had to do was send an email to friends about their website or post a tweet on Twitter. If they randomly selected your email or tweet you would win a Wii. I like the website and the guys so I thought why not. It would be cool to win but if not, might as well help them get some publicity for the site. Well ironically enough, my tweet was randomly selected and I won! Check out the site below where they announced the winner. I can't wait to get it and start playing!

Thanks Local540.com and FayettevilleFlyer.com!

Happy Birthday Emily!

Monday Emily turned 24 so we celebrate this past weekend. She decided that she wanted some margaritas so Claire, Caroline, Lewel, Mary and I all headed to La Huerta to celebrate with her. We had cheese dip, enchiladas, a shot of birthday tequilla for Emily and of course a birthday cake from Ricks. After dinner we were off to Dickson Street to continue the party. Hope you had a great birthday Emily! Love ya!

The Mini Reiths

Last week I got to babysit Anniston and Treyson. It was the best part of my weekend. Earlier that week Amy was cleaning my teeth and was telling me that she wanted to take Jerry on a date so I jumped at the chance to babysit! She asked if I was free for that weekend and I said absolutely! I was so excited to get those two little munchcians to myself. In our huge family, people fight over them quite frenquently. So I went over to their house and we had a blast. Anniston and I ate pizza then together we feed Treyson dinner. He got to eat green beans and pears. Anniston correctly recognized that Treyson liked the pears much better than the green beans, which is apparent in the picture below. Somehow he managed to get mashed green beans everywhere, even on his forehead. Sorry Amy! After dinner Treyson played in his toy thing that I don't remember the name of but it was pretty sweet. He entertained himself all night. I was amazed at the fact that he was so content. Once it was his bed time, i fed him a bottle and then layed him in his crib and never heard a peep out of him for the rest of the night. What a good little boy!

After dinner, Anniston wanted to watch cartoons. She really wanted to watch Blues Clues so she sat contently on the catch with her legs crossed and her hands in her lap until Blue Clues came on.

After each different cartoon she would ask if Blues Clues was next. I asked her if she wanted to play dress up until Blues Clues came on and she said "No! I want to watch Blues Clues." Haha so we sat there and watched Diego, The Backyardagains, The Wubzeys and some cartoon that taught you chinese. That was a surprise to me, chinese? Really? Oh well she liked it. Finally, it was time for Blues Clues! She was so excited and kept yelling BLUES CLUES BLUES CLUES! Well we stayed up so long waiting for Blues Clues to come on that after it was over, it was way past her bed time. And of course now she wanted to play dress up. So the sucker that I am, i helped her put on a princess hat and some princess shoes and we played ball in her room for a little bit. Then she went to bed. I had so much fun with them and can't wait until the next time Amy and Jerry go out.

Please forgive me, I hate the phone!

I am writing this post out of sheer guilt. I have come to a realization that I am a terrible friend sometimes. Only in the fact that I never call any of my friends or relatives to talk or to just catch up. I'm sorry, but it's a flaw I have. I HATE talking on the phone. I feel like if I call one friend then I need to call every friend to catch up because I don't want to miss anything or don't want my other friends to think I don't want to talk to them. Well I have too many close friends to do that. It would take me a week because once we start talking, the conversation never last less than an hour! So I'm sorry that I am lazy and don't call. It's not because I don't love you and it's not because I don't want to know what's going on in your life, because I absolutely do....it's just a lot of work for me. But the saving grace for me is modern technology and social media. I am able to keep up with all of you through Facebook, your blogs, Twitter and emails. I communicate much better that way. So I say all this to apologize to all the important people in my life. I do love you and I do care about you but I won't call you. Send me an email :)
